The National Trade Centre, Two-Time BOMA Award Winner

Building of the Year Award, and Certificate of Building & Management Excellence

The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA, Toronto) recently awarded The National Trade Centre, Building of the Year in the Public Assembly Category, plus, the BOMA Certificate of Building & Management Excellence Award.

The National Trade Centre's submissions were recognized for its commitment to environmental stewardship in its building operations which included a major lighting retrofit program designed to conserve energy and lower carbon emissions. The BOMA Certificate of Excellence Award signifies facility expertise in the areas of building management, operations, environmental management, design, tenant and community relations, and tenant satisfaction

On the heels of a stellar year in 2005, this award further acknowledges the efforts of O&Y/SMG Canada, manager of The National Trade Centre, and sets a new standard for property and facility management of public assembly facilities in Toronto.

Coming in June 2006, The National Trade Centre will be re-named Direct Energy CentreTM, as part of a sponsorship agreement between The City of Toronto and energy leader Direct Energy.

The National Trade Centre is professionally managed by O&Y/SMG Canada, a Canadian company offering management services to convention centres, arenas, stadiums and theatre across the country.
