Opens mega-show
with a welding torch at The National Trade Centre.
The Mayor of Toronto, His Worship Mayor Mel Lastman, will officially
open the Canadian Fabricating and Stamping Machinery /Weld Expo Canada/Finishing
Expo at The National Trade Centre at Exhibition Place on Tuesday,
October 17, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. The Mayor will don the appropriate
welding gear and burn through a metal ribbon inside Hall A of The
NTC, to officially open Canada’s largest exhibition of welding
equipment, machinery, products and services, featuring 400 exhibiting
companies from 25 countries.
This mega-event is the most comprehensive metalforming, welding and
finishing trade show ever staged in Canada. It combines three major
industry shows and draws more than 6,000 professionals from 2,500
companies from every province, and hundreds of international attendees.
This trade show’s exhibits will fill almost the entire 1-million
square feet of The National Trade Centre, (located just inside the
Princes’ Gates at Exhibition Place) and will feature numerous
symposiums and conferences during the 3-day event.
