Toronto’s
National Trade Centre today received accolades from the American
Society of Association Executives (ASAE) at the 1999 PRIMA awards,
an international competition recognizing excellence in marketing.
The National Trade Centre was awarded the first prize trophy in
the Newsletter Category and received second-place honours for its
Web Site. Laura Purdy, Director of Sales and Marketing for The National
Trade Centre accepted the awards on behalf of the NTC and The City
of Toronto.
“We are thrilled to be recognized for our efforts in creating
effective and exciting marketing communications materials.”
states Ms. Purdy. "As one of North America's newest centres,
this acknowledgement by ASAE is particularly rewarding."
Judges praised NTC’s newsletter for its “clean design,
organization, and useful information. They described The Centre’s
Web Site as having “excellent navigation, nice graphics, and
expanding menus that help users see where they are.”
The PRIMA Awards (Promoting and Recognizing Innovation in Marketing
to Associations) honour hotels, convention bureaus, convention centres,
insurance and financial companies, technology firms and others that
provide services to associations. The competition drew nearly 200
