The National Trade Centre Announces Strategic Alliance with Industry Leaders GES Canada and Schenker International

The National Trade Centre, North America’s third largest tradeshow venue and most advanced facility announces a strategic partnership with the industry’s most comprehensive service leaders GES Canada and Schenker International.

Newly appointed “official suppliers,” Schenker International, providers of customs and freight forwarding will have on-site management at The National Trade Centre to monitor, coordinate and manage all aspects of transporting of materials. GES Canada (formerly Panex Show Services) will offer an on-site integrated package of services from show decorating to exhibitor services.

John Sellers, General Manager of The National Trade Centre adds, “with over one million square feet of contiguous space fully divisible into 10 exhibit halls, the advanced high tech nature of the facility, combined with the experts in facility services, GES Canada and Schenker International, The National Trade Centre is a comprehensive tradeshow solution offering total quality service for organizers of tradeshows and events.”

With over one million square feet in 10 exhibit halls, The National Trade Centre offers phenomenal concealed access to electrical, audio-visual, telecommunications, water and drain via a system of floorport service conduit outlets throughout the exhibit halls’ floors. These floorports further provide access to an in-house PBX with ISDN and phone service capabilities, videoconferencing, internal and external networking via light and dark fibre connectivity, and a Category 5 cable grid capable of greater than 150 MGz of bandwidth productivity. In addition, the Centre’s 31 state-of-the-art loading truck bays and three 30’ overhead doors allow for ease of direct access to exhibit hall floors.

The National Trade Centre is owned by the City of Toronto and managed by O&Y/SMG Canada. O&Y Canada is a Canadian company offering management services to convention and trade centres, arenas, stadiums and theatres across the country. O&Y Properties Inc. is a publicly held owner and manager of commercial real estate properties. SMG is the leader in the United States in the management of trade and convention centres, arenas, stadiums and theatres.
