Meet the Chef

Chef Robert Campbell

Chef Robert attended culinary school and then went to work in Italy where he learned to love local, fresh food and wine from the neighbors. La Torre is a Michelin restaurant on a hill in the Piedmont region, surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields. Three generations of family managed the kitchen and dining room with passion and great humour. Mealtime was always an event because family, staff and friends, who timed their visits well, sat together to debate all things culinary.

While living in London, England he taught Communication Skills to chef students by day and worked nights in a small restaurant in Covent Garden. Since arriving at the Direct Energy Centre, he has helped elevate our culinary offerings and his focus is on developing relationships with local growers as part of the Direct Energy Centre’s environmental initiative.
